About The Network
The Network: Young Professionals of the Quad Cities was created in January 2008 through a merger of two local young professionals organizations The Network is a growing network of over 3,000 young professionals in their 20's and 30's from the Iowa and Illinois Quad Cities.
The Network strives to cultivate social and professional development, provide service leadership opportunities, facilitate the connection of young talent with the hiring needs of employers, and engage in advocacy of YP interests.
Quick YP Facts:
- Over 80% are between 25-35 years old
- Nearly 64% are married, engaged, or in a long-term relationship
- Over 88% hold at least a bachelor's degree
- Approximately 55% give time to community service
- Our members are employed by over 300 area businesses and organizations
- We are a hybrid of new, returning, and native Quad Cities residents
The Network offers area young professionals the opportunity to:
Be BOLD
Step outside your normal realm and get involved. The Network e-newsletter: Get Plugged In is distributed via email every Thursday to allow you the opportunity to get engaged with something news in the community.
Be ENERGETIC
Show the dynamic energy that you can offer this community by attending an upcoming Network @ Night event, where you can meet other young professionals in the community in a casual and social environment. Events are held the first Thursday of each month. View our upcoming events!
Be VOCAL
Your voice as a young professional in the Quad Cities is important. Be VOCAL in your community by participating in one of The Network's Issue Forums or by serving on a local board or committee.
Be PROFESSIONAL
Enhance your personal and professional development skills at an upcoming Network @ Noon luncheon. Luncheon events are typically held the third Wednesday of each month at various locations and feature a different topic and different speaker to capitalize on the most important needs of young professionals.
