Enroll your interns in i.network!
As a program focused on the retention of young people to our community, the i.network program introduces college students to what the Quad Cities has to offer beyond the four walls of the workplace. As a program for YPs, created by YPs, this initiative will expose college students and interns socially and professionally to the possibilities that life in our community offer.
Beyond discovery of the good restaurants and cool places to live, i.network is designed to provide interaction not only amongst other interns but with other like-minded people in the community. Students will be invited to:
- Social networking events to promote the development of new friendships.
- Professional development luncheons designed specifically around student interests and concerns.
- Learn more about companies and organizations offering different cultural atmospheres and employment opportunities.
- Engage in community and governmental issues.
- Volunteer alongside other young professionals who are living and raising families here.
In the end, we hope that i.network will increase the depth of the roots that our interns establish in the community, and ultimately increase their likelihood of returning to the Quad Cities for permanent employment after graduation.
